REVENUE MAKERS

I have always believed there has to be a way that instructors can earn an income while they sleep or at least when they are not on the mat.The other thing is if you are only paid for the classes you do, what happens when you cann't teach because you are sick, you have no income.

Not only is it important to draw an income form varied mehtods it is equally important to reduce your operatiing costs too. First of all here is a few ideas to make you money and further down the page are a few ways to save money.

Create a 'Training manual' kit for the general public that can not get to your classes (live in rural areas or out of the country) with a grading/evaluation system that you can sell.
Create an Instructional DVD series that you can sell to your students and a shortened version you can use as a taster or promotional give away tool.
Take on Trainees through a government funded incentive (see details on traineeships pages or contact IMA directly).
Sell a selection of martial arts/action movies to your students and their friends.
Sell the IMA Emag 'Interactive Martial Arts' magazine and earn up to 45%.
Sell martial art equipment other than just uniforms and belts. Encourage students to buy protective equipment as a reward for reaching a certain level.
Sell punching bags and hand held pads to encourage students to practice at home.
Run movie nights and sleep overs to give parents of the students a rest from the kids. This means you are accumilating an income outside your normal operating hours.
Sub let your martial art school space if you have your own. Make sure you work with someone complimentry to your style or bring something completely different like dance, yoga or pilates into the school.
Run Karate/Kung Fu Parties for your own students and the general public and even get the chance to recruit more students from it.
Run tournaments, camps and special seminars to once again accumilating an income outside your normal operating hours. You can also invite martial artists from other styles. You may even use a special seminar to recruit new students.
Run interstate and/or overseas training tours for students, their family and friends while having your own holiday.
The IMA can help you create your DVDs, point you to the cheapest martial arts equipment suppliers, show you how get movies/DVDs at wholesale prices, obtain the Emags and a whole lot more.

Another handy tip for running your martial arts school / club (8)
Want to set up a martial arts passive income business to help support your
club? There are heaps of multi level marketing get rich quick schemes that
draw you in, get you excited, you pay your entrance fee, get some stock
and then nothing. You can make up your own schemes but anything you do takes time, effort and money and is it fool proof! So are we going to list
them for you? No! Look inside your own business, you can create a club
newsletter and sell it to your students, you can even get some local
advertisers in it. You can also produce your own instructional DVDs, one
title for each grade, self defence only, promo show reel and the list goes
on. You can sell them to students and the general public. Imagine if you
could reach a much larger market and expand your range of products? Well
you can and you don’t have to keep stock or pay sales people to make it
happen. Get one of the new Martial Arts Fitness Shopping Carts websites.
